WOODEN CAR | RETRO | — BY WOODEN STORY®

Wooden Story® is a European family brand spanning three generations, creating beautifully handcrafted wooden toys since 1969. Inspired by nature, imagination and the timeless simplicity of childhood, each piece is made in Europe from carefully selected FSC®-certified wood.

Designed to be loved, treasured and passed from one generation to the next, Wooden Story® brings together traditional craftsmanship, meaningful play and deep respect for the natural world.

WHY WE LOVE IT

The Retro Car is a timeless wooden vehicle that brings the elegance and nostalgia of early motoring into a child’s imaginary world.

Its distinctive silhouette recalls a bygone era of country drives, wide-brimmed hats and grand adventures. Small enough to fit comfortably in a child’s hand, it can become a racing car, a family automobile or the beginning of an unforgettable journey created entirely through imagination.

Children can push the car across the floor, follow its movement and invent new destinations and stories with every game. Its simple, open-ended design leaves room for creativity, allowing the same little vehicle to take on a different role each time it is played with.

We love the warm, natural character created by the contrasting colours and grain patterns of different woods. Rather than relying on unnecessary decoration, its form, craftsmanship and material give the car its distinctive personality.

Finished with beeswax and botanical oils and carefully sanded until exceptionally smooth, the Retro Car feels as refined as it looks. Its sculptural design also sits naturally within a beautifully considered nursery or playroom.

Made for everyday adventures and designed to last, it is a classic wooden toy that can travel from one childhood to the next.
