The Wicker Stories

The Wicker Stories® is a remarkable European family brand rooted in one of Europe’s most distinctive craft traditions. Its story began in 1990 in the region of Rudnik nad Sanem, celebrated as the Wicker Capital, where generations of artisans have preserved the art of hand-weaving natural willow.

From its workshop in nearby Łętownia, each piece is shaped entirely by skilled local craftspeople using locally grown willow and time-honoured techniques connected to the heritage of the Lasowiacy. Subtle variations in tone, texture and weave give every creation its own individual character and quiet artisanal beauty.

For children, The Wicker Stories® creates elegant furniture, baskets, cradles and toys with smooth hand-finished surfaces, rounded forms and sturdy construction. Natural willow is renewable, biodegradable and breathable, while the brand’s plastic-free packaging reflects its thoughtful approach to sustainability.

In 2025, Polish basketry traditions were recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, celebrating the knowledge, craftsmanship and close relationship with nature that this extraordinary tradition represents.
